The Flaming Lips

The Flaming Lips

Warner Bros Records

Mark Coyne of the Flaming Lips kindly agreed to be Bob Dylan for an afternoon. It was shot in the actual alley that the famous Subterranean Homesick Blues was shot in (back of the Savoy Hotel, London). A massive record sleeve was made as a prop held together by astronauts (Warner music staff) as Mark flipped the lyric cards from ‘Yeah Yeah Yeah.’ (it’s harder to do than you think without looking at the cards too much!) The album was the highest chart entry for the Flaming Lips.
