New Sadlers Wells production Quadrophenia, is a Mod-Ballet based on The Who’s eponymous album, and cult 1979 movie with the same name. Premiering in London this coming Tuesday, June 24th, the story follows Jimmy Cooper, an angst-ridden London youth, as he escapes the drudgery of his job in the post service to join the Mods, a sharply dressed gang constantly at odds with their rivals, the Rockers.
