We were set with the daunting task of creating a teaser commercial for the much anticipated Sam Mendes directed Charlie and Chocolate Factory. We decided Willy Wonka is the sort of guy to ‘take over’ Drury Lane theatre and create a building full of magic and wonder. With no materials available from the show we built props, cast Mr. Wonka and shot plates around London to composite into the final version. In the second phase of marketing we shot footage from the eye popping show to create traditional trailers and commercials.
